Course Description: The learner listens critically to one-two paragraphs; uses appropriate expressions in varied situations; reads texts for pleasure and information critically in meaningful thought units; responds properly to environmental prints like signs, posters, commands and requests; and writes legibly simple sentences and messages in cursive form.
Course Outline
I.Objectives: At the end of the first quarter, the pupils should be able to :
1. develop their reading, viewing, vocabulary, language, writing,
speaking, and listening skills;
2. enrich their storehouse of ideas by sharing with them the stories
and other literary pieces that will lead to a desirable
development of attitudes towards oneself, home, and
environment, and subsequently recognize and appreciate one’s
national identity that would reinforce values and attitudes every
individual must uphold.
