**COURSE DESCRIPTION**

**KINDERGARTEN MATHEMATICS**

The learner demonstrates understanding and appreciation of key concepts and skills involving numbers and number sense (whole numbers up to 20, basic concepts on addition and subtraction); geometry (basic attributes of objects), patterns and algebra (basic concept of sequence and number pairs); measurement (time, location, non-standard measures of length, mass and capacity); and statistics and probability (data collection and tables) as applied – using appropriate technology – in critical thinking, problem solving, reasoning, communicating, making connections, representations and decisions in real life.

**KINDERGARTEN MATHEMATICS**

**FIRST QUARTER**

**I.Objectives: **At the end of the quarter,the students will be able to:

1.) demonstrates understanding of objects in the environment have properties and attributes(color,size,shapes,and functions )and that objects can be manipulated based on these properties and attributes;

- recognize similarities and differences in what he/she can see;and

- recognize symmetry(own body,basic shapes).

**II.Topics**

1.Point at Things That Are The Same

- Objects that are the same
- Objects that are different

2. Objects And Things That Are Used Together.(Sort and Match )

3. Classify objects according to one attribute /property (shape,color,size,function and use)
